Outpatient Services

Our professional staff includes licensed clinical social workers, psychologists, and a psychiatrist who work with clients dealing with a wide variety of social, emotional, behavioral and learning problems.

The Outpatient Department offers many different treatment options including individual (with children, adolescents, and adults), family, couples, and group therapy. We also offer psychological testing and medication management.
Our professionals utilize traditional talk therapy and also incorporate the following methods that effectively and more quickly help clients discover the underlying issues in their life:

  • Play Therapy
Play therapy is a special process that focuses on children’s need to express themselves through the use of play and toys. Through the play therapy process children create play that resembles the emotional experiences they are struggling with internally. These experiences usually cannot be expressed verbally. Children will select special toys to include in their play and use those toys to recreate issues that represent emotional conflicts, that are important to the child. Beginning with this expression, the child’s play evolves until the child gains a sense of understanding and comfort over the situation (taken from eplaytherapy.com).
  • Equine Assisted Therapy
Gaits to Growth” is an experiential program that promotes communication skills, social skills and improved self-confidence. This is done through use of equine assisted psychotherapy and equine assisted team building.
  • Adventure Based Counseling
Adventured Based Counseling is a holistic approach to address underlying issues: delinquency, social and academic skill development, psychological issues, substance abuse, and family issues. Activities are used as the primary vehicle for learning. Clients work together to monitor and confront one another.
