Mission Statement The purpose of the Outreach Program is to help youth and their families in resolving immediate crisis and to identify their strengths and needs. Outreach empowers youth and their families by enhancing their ability to problem-solve and cope effectively with their situation.
We Provide: Counseling to youth and their families before involvement in the juvenile justice system or child welfare system. Outreach helps families work though issues they may experience due to life changes such as separation, divorce, remarriage, loss, and other issues. Outreach also provides services where clients need them – at home, school, at Francis Lauer Youth Services, or a community site. Francis Lauer Youth Services can be flexible to individual circumstances. Contact Katie Bowman, Community Services Coordinator for further information or to set up an appointment. She can be reached at 641.421.8411. The Outreach Program is funded by the United Way of North Central Iowa.
